About Arclite

We built this for the Friday cash check.

Two operators in Louisville, Kentucky who spent years running cash for other people's companies. Arclite is the tool we wanted on the Fridays that got tight.

Why we built it

Owners found out too late, every time.

We spent years running cash for other people's companies.

Same pattern in every one of them. The books were clean, the P and L looked fine, and then a Friday arrived where payroll was close. Nobody was hiding anything. The information just sat in the ledger until it was too late to do anything except call the bank or call a customer and beg.

  • The problem was never the accountingIt was that the accounting looks backward, and cash is a question about next week.
  • The tools showed the holeNone of them collected a dollar. You still had to go work the phone yourself.
  • So we built the other halfSee the week early, then work it. The invoices to chase and the bills to time, in the same place.
Brad Couch and Christian Carr, the co-founders of Arclite

Arclite exists to make finance departments more powerful and less expensive, starting with the one thing every decision runs through: cash.

Arclite integrates directly with QuickBooks Online and writes back only what you approve. Here is what Arclite does, and it is $50 a month, 7-day trial if you would rather just try it.

The founders

Two co-founders, based in Louisville, Kentucky.

Brad Couch

Co-founder and CEO

Brad builds the product and runs the partner motion. If you book a partnership call, it is Brad on the other end of it, and he is the one who will price your book.

Christian Carr

Co-founder and COO

Christian runs operations. Between the two of them they have spent years inside other people's books, which is where the idea for all of this came from.

What we believe

Four things we are not going to trade away.

  • The forecast has to be realIf the numbers are built on due dates nobody honors, nobody acts on them. We time cash to how your customers actually pay, because a forecast you argue with is a forecast you ignore.
  • Nothing moves money without a humanArclite drafts, ranks and warns. You approve. Nothing sends and nothing pays on its own, and we are not going to change that to look clever.
  • You should not need a finance teamA small business should be able to know its own cash without hiring somebody to produce it in a spreadsheet every Friday.
  • Say the number out loudOur price is on the pricing page. What we read out of QuickBooks is on the security page. If we cannot say it plainly, we should not be selling it.
Fit

Who Arclite is for.

  • Owner-operators on QuickBooks OnlineThe owner still signs the checks. The bookkeeper is in a day or two a week. Nobody's whole job is cash.
  • Businesses that wait to get paidContractors, carriers, staffing firms. Money goes out weekly, comes back in 30 to 60 days, and the gap is the whole problem.
  • Advisors running other people's cashFractional CFOs, CPAs and bookkeepers who need the same thirteen weeks across a whole client book, under their own name.

And who it is not for.

  • Businesses that are not on QuickBooks Online. That is the only ledger Arclite reads today.
  • Anyone who needs several entities rolled into one consolidated view.
  • Anyone who wants a twelve month budget. Arclite forecasts a quarter, and past that you are budgeting.
  • Anyone who wants software to move money on its own. Nothing sends and nothing pays without you approving it.

Come see your own thirteen weeks.

Connect QuickBooks Online and the forecast builds itself from what is already in there. Seven days, nothing charged until day 7.
